This is a 'how to do it' book on the practical procedures which are carried out by medical and surgical staff in the investigation and treatment of patients with renal disease. Particular attention is paid to methods of access to the circulation and peritoneal cavity in patients with advanced renal failure. This book is excellent for teaching the trainee nephrologist how to do the practical procedures which he will use daily in his work. The book is clearly written and its line drawings and radiographic and ultrasound illustrations are faultless. I recommend that it be given to all trainee nephrologists when they start their training on the first day.
